Henry Christmas

This was early December but I forgot to share any of these on here after I put them on Facebook. We had a great day with Grandma Cindy and Papa Terry at his side of the family's Christmas. It's a huge group and they were great about letting us join in on their fun.

Christmas with Grandma Kris and Papa Mark

We had a quick school night Christmas dinner with Papa Mark and Grandma Kris before they headed back to AZ for the winter.

The boys got a great album to collect coins in and were having a great time finding coins from a bag a change they were given and placing them in the correct spots in the book. It will be a work in progress for quite a while but fun to look for all the right coins the book asks for.

They also got puzzles, junior forest ranger badges, and all kinds of other fun items but the big surprise was a certificate for each of us to go on a hot air balloon ride next summer with them!! I said I was brave enough, will I really be? Can't wait to see that one.

The boys were sad to take Grandma and Papa to the airport last night. Some tears were shed on both sides and it will be a long few months until we see them again but we were glad to have the time together that we got.

Thank you Grandma and Papa!!

We were glad to host the Kelley side of the family for Christmas again this year. Even more glad that Grandma Ethel was doing well and was able to be with us!

Thanks to Grandma Kris for sharing some of her photos.

The Tree is up!

I can guarantee the tree really does have a pretty tree skirt on it and not just towels. It took a few hours for all of the snow to melt off of it.

Sledding

Grandma Kris got these great photos from sledding. They crack me up!

The boys got some good time in with their grandparents who were kind enough to take them while Jeff was out of state for training and I was working.

Thanksgiving

We had an uneventful Thanksgiving here with Grammy, Papa Mark and Grandma Kris. We were happy to have them home from AZ for a couple weeks when Grandma E. got sick and was not doing well. We are happy to report she is home and on the mend and one tough lady!

The boys' class were Indians and the other first grade class was Pilgrims for their Thanksgiving luncheon at school. I can't remember why Jonathan was pouting in these pictures. Crabby Indian.

Our Names

The boys did a project for school where they had to think of positive words to describe themselves starting with the letters in their names. They had a lot of fun thinking of ways to describe themselves and after some arguments over words that weren't so positive this is what they came up with.

Halloween 2009

Mario and Luigi romped through the school party, downtown Grand Haven and then the neighborhood and came away with lots of goodies!
