We spent a fun day exploring the Aquarium with the Newmans and Papa Pete and Grandma Janet. The favorite of all were the penguins. We got to them just in time for feeding time and watched them play for quite a while. There were several spots where penguins were guarding eggs and one penguin is currently undergoing cancer treatments. Very interesting to see all of the different kinds they had.

Christmas 2009, better late than never

We lost our camera cord in Cincy and just got a new one so we'll catch up a bit with a few posts.

Christmas seems so long ago already but it was a good one in the Kelley house. We celebrated on Christmas Eve because mom had to work on Christmas. Santa was kind enough to come a night early.

The big hit this year was the Nintendo DSi's the boys have been begging for. They also loved their bathrobes and have been wearing them every day. They look so handsome in them!

Syrian Bread

Grandma Smith always made us syrian bread and we gobbled it when we were kids. Over the years I taught Jeff how to make it and this year he passed the torch on to the boys who helped him separate the pita bread. Aunt Mary Anne will be so proud of them!!

Henry Christmas

This was early December but I forgot to share any of these on here after I put them on Facebook. We had a great day with Grandma Cindy and Papa Terry at his side of the family's Christmas. It's a huge group and they were great about letting us join in on their fun.

Christmas with Grandma Kris and Papa Mark

We had a quick school night Christmas dinner with Papa Mark and Grandma Kris before they headed back to AZ for the winter.

The boys got a great album to collect coins in and were having a great time finding coins from a bag a change they were given and placing them in the correct spots in the book. It will be a work in progress for quite a while but fun to look for all the right coins the book asks for.

They also got puzzles, junior forest ranger badges, and all kinds of other fun items but the big surprise was a certificate for each of us to go on a hot air balloon ride next summer with them!! I said I was brave enough, will I really be? Can't wait to see that one.

The boys were sad to take Grandma and Papa to the airport last night. Some tears were shed on both sides and it will be a long few months until we see them again but we were glad to have the time together that we got.

Thank you Grandma and Papa!!

We were glad to host the Kelley side of the family for Christmas again this year. Even more glad that Grandma Ethel was doing well and was able to be with us!

Thanks to Grandma Kris for sharing some of her photos.
